SUMMARY: The technology of identification for Rdio Frequncia (RFID) is the new technology that is being introduced in the whole world libraries, in intention to provide one better electronic management with the quantities and innovated services. In view of the great advantages that this technology offers and as this technology he can be a solution in the capture of data for automation, some pilots and projects models had been and are being developed in intention to promote the technology and to make measurements of its profits. This article deals with on the study to the use technology RFID in libraries, approaching the used equipment, its advantages, examples and other gotten results of this application. I. INTRODUCTION RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) or Identification for Radio Frequency is a term that describes any system of automatic identification through radio controls or variations in the magnetic field for the communication and storage (GLOVER; BHATT, 2007). As It hisses (2000), each day becomes almost that impossible for the libraries, to carry through an attendance to its users compatible with the informacionais necessities that they need if she will not have, beyond Internet, databases, among others technologies of the information, a system of management of libraries, comumente call of softwares for automation of libraries.
